Works done by Kidney Foundation
Public Education programe – On 22nd July 2001- addressed by Ex PM Shri V.P.Singh.
Experts in various fields addresed the patient on hypertention, Diabetes, stone disease, kidney failure etc, Transplant patients were given guidance about importance of drugs, and about complications of transplant.Dr Vijay Shrikhande , Dr S.N.Deshmukh , Dr Deopujari, Dr Rajesh Soni , Dr Mrs Baraskar participated.

Provided Jobs to Transplant Patients
With the help of Vidharbha Industries Association (VIA), provided jobs to three kidney transplant patients.

Helped Patients with costly medicines – Transplant patients helped with costly drug called cyclosporine which was provided free of charge for one month each with the help of drug companies (Panacea and Novartis)

Health camp at Khandwa: - A free health camp was organised at Khandwa by Sakal jain samaj and Rotary Club where patients with kidney diseases were screened and treated.

Continuing Medical Education in association with Cardiological Society of India , Dr Georgy Abraham , Nephrologist from Shri Ramchandra Medical College , Chennai and Dr M.M.Bahadur, Nephrologist , Jaslok Hospital , Mumbai participated .

Continuing Medical Education was organised at hotel Centre Point , Nagpur in which Dr Bhupendra Gandhi , Nephrologist , Jaslok Hospital , Mumbai participated . A public education program was also held .

CME for Doctors of Khandwa – On the request of IMA, Khandwa, continuing Medical education on hypertension was organised at Khandwa for Doctors.

Elocution Competition on World Kidney Day 2008
Central India Kidney Foundation organised an elocution contest on Saturday , 15th March 2008 to celebrate World Kidney Day . The program was held at Vidarbha Hindi Sahitya Sammelan Hall , Mor Bhavan , Buldi between 2 pm to 6 pm .
The topic for elocution contest was “Do not take your organs to heaven , for these are needed here ”. This was the motivational program meant for promoting organ donation posthumously. The contest was open for the students of 8th and 9th standard . The medium of the contest was English , Hindi and Marathi. The prizes for the elocution competition were distributed on this occasion.
The prizes for the essay competition were also distributed on this occasion. The topic for essay was ‘ If I were health minister of this nation ……’. The first prize for the essay went to Pooja Rajurkar of Sanjuba High School , Chakradhar Nagar , second prize went to Bharat Joshi of Centre Point High School , Katol Road and third prize was shared by Neha Gupta of Bhide Girls’ High School and Vivek Wankhede of Manawata High School .
The best school shield for essay contest was won by Sanjuba High School , Chakradhar Nagar.
Organ Donor cards were released and distributed on this occasion .Earlier the president of the foundation Dr Mrs Vandana Khushalani welcomed the guests . Mrs Shraddha Joshi rendered Saraswati vandana , Vice president CA Anil Rathi delineated the importance of World Kidney Day and Dr S.J.Acharya briefly spoke about the philanthropic works done by Central India Kidney Foundation . Eminent industrialist Shri Shaktikumar Sancheti was the chief guest . Smt Aashawari Shenolikar and Shri Sohanlal Somani were the guests of honour . Dr Nikhil Balankhe was the master of ceremony.
Joint secretary Smt Aparna Shankaran Mahadevan proposed a vote of thanks. The program concluded with national anthem
Eminent persons like Prof Madhup Pandey , Dr Rajesh Soni , Dr Nikhil Kibe , Salim Bhai Chimathanawala , Dr Devashish Acharya and many others graced the occasion .
